Paul Drey is a filmmaker working in France and Germany. After civil service in Thiès/ Senegal he studied Political Science in Maastricht, Izmir and Brussels. He then studied directing at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg GmbH. His current work ‚DAS ROTOHR‘ has won the Grand Prix and the Audience Award at Tampere Film Festival and a Short Film Candidacy for the European Film Awards 2023. The film was qualified for the 96th Oscars® 2024 in the category Documentary Short Film and was published by The New York Times Op-Docs. He is currently expanding his documentary film expertise with fictional projects.
